It is important to acknowledge that children and adolescents also have complex feelings like frustration, elation, nervousness, sadness, jealousy, fright, worry, anger and embarrassment. It is difficult for them to express themselves so they tend to communicate in other ways, which can sometimes be acting out in inappropriate or problematic ways.
