Pre-diabetes refers to a condition in which the normal blood sugar level neither falls in the ‘diabetic category’ nor in the ‘normal category’. A normal person’s fasting blood sugar reading is less than 100 mg/dl; and greater than 126 if you are diabetic. If your fasting blood sugar falls somewhere in between these numbers, then you are considered pre-diabetic.
